Greetings from ALMCO!
Halloween is approaching and the term “Trick or Treat” sure does apply right now. The treat is that orders have been strong all year and our customers are reporting that they are also very busy. The trick is that it is getting harder to find parts again for some equipment orders. The ALMCO team has done a great job of building stock and finding alternatives for parts that are unavailable. We have a record number of orders scheduled to ship this quarter and our team will continue working hard to get these projects completed.
ALMCO exhibited at the IMTS tradeshow in Chicago this year. This was the first time this show had been held since the pandemic. It was interesting to see how busy it was. Several of our existing customers and many potential customers stopped by to discuss their projects. During the show, I asked attendees if their companies had been busy and received a resounding, “yes.” As usual, the sizes ranged from small companies that are expanding to large companies that have been in business for decades. I found the need is the same; people are trying to find a better or more efficient way to finish their parts.
ALMCO will also be exhibiting at FABTECH in Atlanta, GA from November 8 to November 10. Our booth number is B5707 and if you are attending, I hope that you will stop by to see if we can solve your parts finishing or washing needs.
Many people know ALMCO as a deburring and finishing equipment manufacturer. However, ALMCO parts washing systems are just as common as our deburring machines. These are nearly all custom-designed and we have designed and manufactured many varieties lately. We are currently building belt washers, drum washers, turntable washers, and cabinet washers for the widest variety of parts I have ever seen. These projects span many industries and I find it most interesting to learn about the parts and where they are used. It is very satisfying to also have the opportunity to work with so many repeat customers on their current projects.
The ALMCO Lab is busy developing processes for many types of parts. Things tend to get quite busy in the lab following a tradeshow. At ALMCO we guarantee the same results achieved on the parts we return for your inspection will be achieved in your facility if ALMCO equipment, media and compound is used. This has been the ALMCO standard for decades and can really help you to find the best method for finishing your parts. This service is free, and we will provide complete details of the process settings with the equipment order. Even better, you are welcome to come to ALMCO to work with our lab technicians to give immediate input on the process results and make changes until the best outcome is reached. It is also a great opportunity to see the other equipment that is being assembled on our plant floor.
I wish you a good and successful business outcome this fall, and I hope you enjoy your time with family and friends over the upcoming holiday season.
Best Regards,
Tim Grahn
