A few words from our general manager
During the first quarter of 2020, all of us heard of COVID-19 and the concern of a pandemic. As a result of state government lock-downs to limit the spread, many of our customers had to close their doors temporarily because they were not considered an essential business. Other customers were affected because their customers were in businesses that were required to close by their state governments. Almco remained open to service essential businesses during this time.
Our service and repair department has been very important to our customers as they are performing maintenance to make sure their equipment is running properly during this crisis. While we are not able to send technicians out to service your equipment during the pandemic, we still offer parts and excellent phone service to help our customers keep their equipment running.
In April, there were two cases of COVID-19 at our sister company located in an adjoining building. We decided to suspend our manufacturing operations for two weeks to clean our facilities and review our policies for the safety of our employee owners.
As part of Innovance, a 100% employee owned corporation, Almco values the safety and well-being of every employee. Because of this we are not currently traveling or allowing visitors to our facilities. We are using video conferencing where possible and can even do this for a machine run-off.
Almco has been in business since 1945 and has remained strong financially even during difficult economic times. You can count on us to be here for your parts finishing and washing needs. For companies that need equipment in a hurry, Almco can build new equipment with short deliveries. We have many new and refurbished units in stock for even faster deliveries.
I hope that you, your family, your friends and your business will remain strong through this virus and that you will come out in good standing.
Best Regards,
Tim Grahn
